API key

After a successful registration, you have received a sandbox account. It allows you to log in to the sandbox portal and generate an API key. You will do the same in the production portal when you move to production.

You manage your API key in the Safepay Nordic portal. The key is only shown once, when it's generated, so store it safely. If you lose it, generate a new one; the old key stops working immediately. To rotate keys without downtime, you can get a secondary API key from Developer Support (see Securing API keys).

Once an API key is generated, it can't be modified; generate a new key instead. You are fully responsible for managing the lifecycle of the keys you have created.
